Performance Standards
Appropriate grades meet U.S. Steel Specification 224 and David Brown Table E requirements Grades up to and including ISO 680 also meet the requirements of AGMA Specifications for mild EP lubricants, AGMA 250.04 for enclosed gears and AGMA251.02 for open gears.

Application
Recommended for all types of industrial and mobile equipment requiring mild EP gear lubricants Particularly recommended for enclosed gear drives and speed reducers ranging from small gearboxes to large, high-power units on metal rolling mills, cement mis sugar mills and mine hoists. Also suitable for chain cases, sprockets, slide guides, flexible couplings, and plain and rolling element bearings. Grades 1000, 1500 and 3200 are particularly suitable for large, slow to medium-speed pinion stands subject to shock loading. Also suitable for use in transmission gear cases and worm drive axles on automotive construction and mining equipment under moderate operating conditions. Suitable for bath, splash, circulation and spray application, as appropriate to the grade.
